Honest limits: All fonts from this site’s preview folder plus openly licensed Google webfonts (Noto Nastaliq Urdu, Amiri, Scheherazade New — all SIL OFL) are offered here; fonts are rendered into the image only, no font file is downloaded. Your uploaded photo never leaves your device — it is read in your browser only. Choose “Transparent (text only)” background and Download PNG for a truly transparent DP; JPG has no transparency, so a transparent background becomes white in JPG. For YouTube thumbnails use JPG or PNG (YouTube does not accept WebP as a thumbnail) — this DP tool makes square profile pictures, not 1280×720 thumbnails.

Make a clean, square profile picture with your name in Urdu. The tool above creates a 1080 × 1080 DP, so it is made for profile pictures rather than wide banners or video thumbnails. Choose a font and background, check the circle preview, then download the finished image.

How to Use the Stylish Urdu Name DP Maker

  • Type your name in the Urdu name box at the top of the tool. The default name is احمد, and the square canvas preview updates as you type.
  • Pick a font, text size and text colour. Then choose a background: a green, purple or blue gradient, or black.
  • To use your own photo, click Upload photo, choose an image, and set Background to My photo. Your photo is fitted to the square so it fills the DP.
  • Leave “Show as circle (DP crop)” ticked to preview the circular shape, or untick it to see the full square.
  • Choose Download PNG, Download JPG or Download WebP. Use Clear to empty the name box and start again.

If you do not have an Urdu keyboard, type your name first with the Online Urdu Keyboard and paste it into the tool. If your name is in Roman Urdu, convert it first with the Roman Urdu to Urdu Converter, then paste the Urdu result here. For the reverse direction, the Urdu to Roman Converter turns Urdu text into Roman script for a caption.

Circle Crop Explained: How WhatsApp and Facebook Show DPs

WhatsApp and Facebook show profile pictures inside a circle, not as a full square. That means the four corners of a square image are cut off in the profile view, even though the downloaded file itself is still square.

The circle option in this tool copies that display. When it is ticked, the preview hides the corners, so you can see which parts of the name or photo would fall outside the circle. Keep the name centred and away from the edges, especially with a photo background, so no letter is clipped in the circular view. If you untick the option, you see the whole square again, which is useful for checking the full design before you download it.

Photo Darken Explained

Photo darken adds a dark layer over an uploaded photo, behind the name. It does not change the photo file itself; it only changes how the preview and the download look.

Use a higher darken value when the photo is bright or busy and white text is hard to read. Use a lower value when the photo is already dark, so the photo still shows through. Move the slider and watch the preview until the name stands out clearly without hiding the photo completely.

Where You Can Use Your DP

Use the downloaded square image as a WhatsApp DP, a Facebook profile picture, or an Instagram profile picture. The 1080 × 1080 size is large enough for a clear profile photo, and the circle preview helps you check how it will look once the app crops it.

The same image can also work as a profile picture on other apps that show a round avatar. It is not made for wide posts or for 1280 × 720 YouTube thumbnails, so for those formats use JPG or PNG from a tool made for that size, such as the Urdu Text to PNG Image Maker.

Honest Limits to Keep in Mind

  • The tool now offers 25 fonts: all 22 of the site's preview fonts, starting with Jameel Noori Nastaleeq, together with the 3 openly licensed Google webfonts — Noto Nastaliq Urdu, Amiri and Scheherazade New. Any future fonts added to the site's preview list will also be available here. Every font is rendered into the downloaded image only; no font file is downloaded or redistributed. To compare the styles first, try the Live Urdu Font Previews tool, and browse the wider library in the Urdu Fonts category.
  • Your uploaded photo never leaves your device. It is read in your browser only and is not sent to a server.
  • JPG has no transparency, so use PNG for images where transparency matters. In this DP tool, gradient, black and photo backgrounds fill the square, so a DP download is not transparent.
  • This tool makes square profile pictures, not 1280 × 720 YouTube thumbnails. For YouTube, use JPG or PNG, not WebP, because YouTube does not accept WebP as a thumbnail.
  • The quality slider runs from 50% to 100% and applies to JPG and WebP downloads only; it does not change PNG downloads.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is it free?

Yes. Typing a name, previewing it, changing the font, colour and background, and downloading PNG, JPG or WebP images with this tool is free, with no sign-in needed for the tool itself.

Which fonts are available?

The tool now offers 25 fonts: all 22 of the site's preview fonts, starting with Jameel Noori Nastaleeq, together with the 3 openly licensed Google webfonts — Noto Nastaliq Urdu, Amiri and Scheherazade New. Any future fonts added to the site's preview list will also be available here. Every font is rendered into the downloaded image only; no font file is downloaded or redistributed.

Can I use my own photo?

Yes. Click Upload photo, choose an image from your device, and set Background to My photo. The photo is fitted to the square, and the photo darken slider can make the name easier to read over it.

What does the circle option do?

It previews the DP as a circle, the way WhatsApp and Facebook show profile pictures. The corners of the square are hidden in that preview, so you can check that no part of the name is cut off. The downloaded file is still a square image.

Can I download transparent PNG?

Yes. Choose “Transparent (text only)” as the Background and click Download PNG for a transparent DP. Use the Urdu Text to PNG Image Maker only if you want a transparent image with different sizes/fonts.

Which format for WhatsApp DP?

PNG or JPG both work well for a WhatsApp DP. PNG keeps sharp edges, while JPG usually gives a smaller file. Keep the circle preview ticked before downloading, so the name still reads well after WhatsApp crops it to a circle.

Does my photo leave my device?

No. Your photo is read in your browser only when you upload it to the tool. It is not sent to a server, and the tool runs on your own device.
